WHAT IS A GORGET ?
A GORGET is the last vestige of human armor worn around the neck or on the upper chest for protection. In the past, gorgets were worn to denote rank or social standing, symbolizing importance.
I use this form of necklace as a metaphor, as narrative adornment or personal art for what is important to the wearer.
